LJ Roofing and Contracting is a Colorado based Roofing Contractor with roots in Salida and La Junta. We specialize in roof repairs, replacement, and insurance claims.

Mike was raised in Rocky Ford and now resides in La Junta. Mike has a degree in Civil Engineering and over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Mike is a Haig Certified Commercial Roofing Inspector (The only such inspector in South East Colorado). Mike has experience as a forensic Engineer, Mike has experience as an expert witness, an appointed appraiser and costing engineer.
Mike has represented large insurance carriers on large commercial, large multifamily residential complexes and industrial losses throughout the USA and overseas. (the Hoover Dam (Pat Tillman) bridge, Sewage Treatment plants, Convention Centers, Shopping Centers, 1200-unit apartments and more.
Mike has an in-depth knowledge of how insurance claims are processed and how cost estimates are “supposed” to be developed, this experience is of utmost importance and benefit when La Junta Roofing and Contracting is representing a property owner (the insured). We insure that the property owner gets accurate insurance coverage and the maximum dollar reimbursement to repair the damages.

Once the roof was stripped off and it was seen that new decking would be required. Even with the changes, additional labor and a brief afternoon downpour of rain, these guys had the roof completely on our home by the end of the day. All of the workers were friendly, efficient and very hardworking. They did an excellent clean up of the yard. Thank you, Workers!
